How does your garden grow...

Gardening is a favorite hobby of mine...Every year I add to our growing gardens here. Edibles and florals...some are snippets gifted from my Aunt's garden that took well to our soil. Others were here when we moved in, were gifts from N, or were bought on one of our weekend trips, and some still- I have grown from seed. There is no greater feeling than watching things sprout, or poke their little heads back up after a long winter. It's like Christmas in the springtime for me as I watch buds swell and then blossom.
Honeysuckle, peonies, salvia and basil...rosemary, mint, and geraniums....
These things just make me happy..
Have a wonderful Tuesday!
XO

  3. Sarah, maybe you know, I planted blubs last spring and they come up last summer right after my tulips. My tulips came up this year but the other blubs did not.

    What could of gone wrong?

    1. What kind of bulbs were they? Were they bulbs or tubers? Some need to be dug up in the fall and stored in a cool dry place until next spring when they can be replanted. Some can stay in the ground year round, but need to be covered with a protective layer of mulch...
Do you remember what the flower was?

    1. Oh those are awesome! Hmm..funny that they didn't come up because typically they are known for their hardiness, and usually multiply year after year..the only possibility I can think of is that maybe they were dug up? (squirrel/rodent?) or maybe were damaged by floods of Irene? Since you guys got so much water?:(
Might be worth replanting, they really are like the ultimate spring flower..beautiful and easy to care for.
      Good Luck!
