My Father's Garden...

Today I stopped by my parent's house to pick something up...it had just finished raining. Everything was wet, and especially green and luscious looking. I couldn't help snapping some photos. I love my parent's home...it's extra special to me because my father built it. He and my mother stood on the wooded lot here when they were in their twenties...and it then it all began:)
Little bits of green moss, drop covered pink honey suckle, and hand-built stone walls. Isn't it lovely? Something to be proud of for sure... -XO

(You may have noticed my format has changed a bit..I don't know If I'm experiencing a glitch or if Google has made some changes, but I had some difficulty with layout and this was how it had to be...maybe we like it left-justified? Feel free to comment with your thoughts!)

    1. Thanks Alissa! My dad has always been really inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy:) I think he was channeling some of the Storm King Stone Walls when he built these...

  3. So funny, sarah - I just heard of Andy Goldsworthy for the first time today, when someone described his wall at Storm King. I immediately wrote to your folks to see if they wanted to go there with us to see the walls... but from what you are saying, I guess they know abut Andy!!
