Golden Chickadees

One of the first things I bought when Nick and I were decorating our first-ever place together was a pair of bookends with little birds on top. I still love them now, but the color just wasn't right on our white bookshelf. They had started to feel really blah to me. So I decided to give them a little pick-me-up in the form of a few coats of gold paint. Sometimes all it takes is a few minutes to transform an old piece into something fresh again!

I think the end result is really nice! They add a little pep to things there on our big bookshelf.
