New Year's Eve Confetti Poppers

From one holiday to the next! It seems we only get a short break after Christmas, just enough time to get ready to ring in the new year. What's New Year's Eve without a little bubbly and confetti? Here's a super easy way to re-use materials to make pretty little confetti poppers.
You will need:
-Tissue paper (I had some left from gift opening!)
-Cardboard tube (toilet paper or paper towel roll cut in half)
-Snipped paper confetti of your choice (old Christmas cards work great for this!)
-Ribbon
To make your own confetti, cut decorative paper into 1/4 inch strips and then snip, snip, snip! Make enough to put handfuls in each popper.
Roll a single sheet of tissue paper around your cardboard tube, leaving about two inches of excess tissue on either end.
Tie one end of your popper closed and fill the open end with a handful of confetti. Tie the second end closed.
To pop, pull hard on both ends until the tissue tears!
Happy New Year!!

  2. This would be a fun project for the kinders! You could have them help, or you could surprise them by putting a little plastic animal inside.
