Pretty Things...

It's a been bit busy lately. Things are picking up at work... and at home, spring cleaning, yard-work, and putting the finishing touches on the next book release for Epic Dreamer. We're also having a giant, huge, enormous tree taken down from the side yard this Friday which has been a tad stressful and makes me a little sad. Easter is this weekend and I haven't had any time to think about how I want to do our eggs this year. But I have had a few moments to pick up some really special hand-me-downs from my Mom. Some fabrics that I've loved since childhood, as well as some gorgeous hankies and scarves that belonged to my Grandmother. My mom and I also shared an hour or two together doing a tiny bit of shopping. I came home with a really sweet white cotton summer dress and some new drinking glasses....
My Grandma loved dogs, there was a period of many years when she only had poodles. The scarves with the poodles make me smile. She had wonderful taste and I, of course, was too young to appreciate it before it was too late to tell her so it's nice to keep the life of her things going now with happy memories.

  1. It's so wonderful that you were able to hold onto some of your grandmother's things. I have a few pieces of my grandma's clothing and some of her powder that she loved, but I wish I could have kept some more of the little things.

    1. That's so sweet Cristina, you may not feel like you have a lot but it sounds like you do have a few really special items to remember your Grandma by. The powder sounds especially sentimental. Xo
