Black Caps

One of the yummiest things about Podunk is the abundance of black-cap (blackberries) that grow wild along the sides of the cottage and at the edges of the fields, along the forest line. We picked a lot of them this weekend, for snacking as well as for our layered Fourth of July dessert...

Stained fingers, and sweet juice...warm still, from the sun:)
